Zsolt Pálfi animation film director
Zsolt Pálfi started his career in animation in 1991 at Pannonia Film Studio II. From the second half of the 1990s he worked as an animator in various studios, including Loonland, where he was involved in the production of several feature films such as Babar, Pettson and Findus and Musicians of Bremen. In 2006, he joined Cinemon Entertainment Studios and participated as an animator in the feature film Princess of the Sun.
In 2007, he directed his second feature film, Signs. Between 2008 and 2009 he produced two episodes of the TV series Nyakashegyi stories together with Ágnes Quirin. Between 2009 and 2010 he was animation director for the German film series Oskar and Spike. In the same year, he illustrated the storybook series Brumi. 2012-2013 he worked as animation supervisor for the film The Travels of the Young Marco Polo.
2013-2014 he created educational films for ZanzaTV. 2014-2017 he was animation director for the feature film The Legend of King Solomon. Between 2014-2018, he directed two feature-length animated films based on the book Tales from the Lakeside by Judit Berg, which won several awards worldwide, including the Professional Jury Award and the Children's Jury Award at the Chicago Children's Film Festival. Between 2018 and 2020, she directed the series Pomi and Nar. In 2016, she worked as an animator on the film Ruben Brandt, Collector. From 2021, she also contributed as an animator to Áron Gauder’s film Four Souls of Coyote. Between 2022 and 2025, she co-directed the film Csongor and Tünde alongside Csaba Máli. In 2023, she served as an external consultant at Metropolitan University.
He is a member of the Hungarian Film Academy.
